Emerald Jesus -Pendant
Orthodox pendant - order. Dedicated to the memory of the feat of the Orthodox Saint John the Baptist.
In the center of the pendant is an emerald carving - in the shape of the head of John the Baptist.
It is held - by a silver shroud wrapped around it - crowned with an Orthodox symbol in the form of an equilateral cross - enclosed in a circle.
On the sides of the shroud with the texture of the fabric, Orthodox crosses are installed (filled with gold in the old technique), made of gold.
On the reverse side of the pendant is a silver manuscript framed in a wreath - the jeweler applied the text of the prayer on the manuscript: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner”
A golden ribbon is laid on the forehead of the head of John the Baptist - personifying: a crown - a crown of Glory. From below, the face is supported by a Triple Lily - made of gold: a symbol of the Trinity and three virtues: Faith, Hope and Mercy. The lily was also an attribute of many saints.
The pendant is made in the manner of the old school of master jewelers. The jeweler paid tribute to the best traditions of Russian jewelry and stone-cutting art.
