The sculpture is carved in agate, cacholong, quartz and jasper: a plump elephant standing on an oval base, its trunk raised high. From the tip of the trunk a jet of water, worked in clear stone, rises, arcs over and breaks into falling drops. The banded grey-blue body is polished to a high gloss and the tusks are pale; the dark green base is set in a patterned metal rim.
