Smoky Quartz Sculpture – Immersion

$0.00

Immersion is carved in smoky quartz, with a snake of cast and patinated brass, on a base of labradorite.

The artist describes the work as an image of meditation: eyes closed, breathing slowed, thoughts dissolving into silence, consciousness leaving the tight confines of the body and returning to its natural state of simple being. At the base of the spine, dormant and curled up, lies Kundalini, the energy of creativity, of sexuality and of life itself; to wake it is to receive a powerful source of strength for carrying out one's intentions, and those intentions must come from a pure heart.

What is focused on is amplified, and the connection with oneself is a connection with the Creator, in which complete trust leaves no room for fear or struggle. Light does not fight darkness, because darkness is only the absence of light; there is no death, but there is love. Ending the war in one's inner world ends it in one's reality as well; the released energy, directed to creation, turns the earth into a flowering garden.

Materials: smoky quartz, brass (cast and patinated), labradorite base
Dimensions: 270 × 182 × 182 mm
