The piece is assembled from Belorechensky quartzite, jade, cacholong and quartz, with diamonds, silver and gold: three open lilies and two closed buds on branching silver-coloured stems. The recurved petals, orange-pink shading into white and finely lined along their length, open around long stamens tipped with glittering anthers, and broad green leaves curl out at the base of the stems. They stand in a clear vase with a narrow flared neck and a wide round foot.
