The piece is assembled from Belorechensky quartzite, moss agate and white jade, with rubies, silver and gold: a small cherry tree in blossom. Its twisted trunk and branches are worked in dark metal with the texture of bark, and white five-petalled flowers with gold-coloured stamens open along them, with a cluster of pale buds at the tip of the highest branch. The trunk rises from a dark, earth-like fill in a square pot of translucent pale pink stone, its sides flaring outward and open at the corners.
